Our world-class faculty of professional Irish musicians has performed and recorded across the globe — and is dedicated to passing the tradition on to the next generation.
Director · Fiddle & Tin Whistle
Native of Co. Roscommon; first-class-honours BA in Irish Music Performance & Irish Language from the Irish World Academy of Music & Dance, University of Limerick; studied fiddle under tutors including Siobhán Peoples. Moved to Boston in 2021.
Irish Speaking & Sean-nós Singing
Born in Leitir Móir in the Conamara Gaeltacht, from a long line of poets and singers. Won the Corn Uí Riada at Oireachtas na Gaeilge for sean-nós singing; inducted into the Northeast Regional Hall of Fame.
Guitar Accompaniment, Tenor Banjo & Mandolin
A sought-after Celtic-style guitarist from the Boston area; studied at Berklee. Plays with Cat and the Moon and Fresh Haggis at Club Passim and the Burren.
Traditional Irish Harp
From Inishowen, Co. Donegal; harpist and singer. Graduated in 2022 from the Irish World Academy; released her debut EP "Across the Atlantic" in 2024.
Concertina
Native of Newquay, north Co. Clare; praised for sustaining older Clare dialects of the music. Toured with The Lonely Stranded Band and Meitheal. Lives in Beverly, MA.
Button Accordion
From Cúil Aodha, Co. Cork; TG4 Young Musician of the Year 2022. Teaches at UCC; invited by Frankie Gavin to join Dé Danann in 2023.
Uilleann Pipes
Raised in Liverpool; over 25 years on the uilleann pipes; two-time Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann slow-airs champion.
Bodhrán
A student of Joey Sullivan; specialises in helping beginners master bodhrán technique and the different tune types.
Flute
Flute and concertina player from Boston; learned from his father Jimmy Noonan. Finalist in the 2014 and 2024 Seán Ó Riada competitions.
Uilleann Pipes
Former professional classical flutist; leads the Boston Uilleann Pipers Club and is pianist for the Boston Comhaltas monthly céilís.

Her family were members of the Kilfenora Céilí Band for over 100 years; influenced by Joe Cooley, Joe Burke, Jackie Daly and Paddy O'Brien.
