Our ceili band is the pride and joy of the Reynolds-Hanafin-Cooley Branch — a group of dedicated, popular local Irish trad musicians who perform for functions throughout Massachusetts and beyond.
A living history
More than fifty years of music
The Boston Comhaltas Ceili Band formed in 1976, growing out of sessions and friendships dating back to 1953. Original members included Larry Reynolds Sr. and Tom Sheridan.
Regular members over the years have included Larry Reynolds Sr., his sons Mike and Sean, his nephew Pat, and the father-and-son duo Fergus and John Keane, along with Tara Lynch, Tom Sheridan, Jimmy Hogan, Martin Cloonan and Seamus Connolly.
The band was inducted into the CCÉ Northeast Regional Hall of Fame in November 2002, after more than fifteen years performing everywhere from Alaska to the Caribbean.
